several factors.
 Number of entries
 Time allotted for playing the tournament
 Facilities available
 The advantages and disadvantages of each type of
tournament.
Single Elimination
 Also called a knockout, or sudden-death tournament,
is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of
each match-up is immediately eliminated.

Formula:
NG – Number of Games
N – Number of teams participated
NG = N -1
Advantages:

 1. Simple and straightforward


 2. Excitement and intensity of an elimination-
style competition
 3. Time efficiency compared to other bracket
formats
 5. Maximizing attention for higher viewership

Round-robin Tournament

 It is also called all-play-all tournament


 Itis a competition format in which each contestant meets
every other participant, usually in turn. A round-robin
contrasts with an elimination tournament, wherein
participants are eliminated after a certain number of
wins or losses.
