Introduction
● The aim of developing this system is to use machine learning
algorithms to help to solve the health-related issues by
assisting the people to accurately predict diseases at an early
stage and also to help the patients find doctors.
● The prediction result will be according to the data entered and
hence will be specific to that individual.
● After prediction the user can find doctors according to his
concern.
Motivation
● Personalization of services is possible with the help of
machines .
● In Covid times most people often find it difficult to get out of
their homes to get diagnosis or treatments for their health
issues.
● This led us to the idea of developing an application which
combines disease prediction as well as recommends doctors to
the user at the convenience of sitting at home
Objectives

● To study various algorithms and techniques used in machine

learning for disease prediction and use a hybrid algorithm for
prediction.
● To study and compare existing work related to disease
prediction and diagnosis as well as recommendation systems.
● To develop an application which will predict the disease and
suggest nearby doctors to the users specified to the detected
disease.
● Study issues relating to the existing systems and ways to
overcome them.

Gap/Issue Identified
● People post their health related queries on various healthcare
forums.
● There are other group of people who leave their responses to
those posts with predictions of possible diseases.
● However, these predictions may not be always accurate, and
also there is no assurance that users will always get a reply on
their post.
● People often feel reluctant to go to hospital or physician on
minor symptoms. However, in many cases, these minor
symptoms may trigger major health hazards.
In the various researches and literature surveys that were
conducted we came to a finding that there were not many
systems that predicted multiple diseases and their diagnosis
along with connecting them to a medical expert all under a
single system. Also due to the current pandemic situation it is
not feasible to go to the doctor for minor treatments or
diagnosis. The current systems lack either of the above and
hence we propose a system that makes disease prediction,
diagnosis and recommendation of medical experts all in one
single system so the user finds it convenient to rely on the
platform entirely.
The existing systems rely completely on model predictions,
but in some cases of severity the advice of a medical
expert is a must. In the various researches and literature
surveys that were conducted we came to a finding that there
were not many systems that predicted multiple diseases and
their diagnosis along with connecting them to a medical expert
all under a single system. Also due to the current pandemic
situation it is not feasible to go to the doctor for minor
treatments or diagnosis. The current systems lack either of the
above and hence we propose a system that makes disease
prediction, diagnosis and recommendation of medical experts
all in one single system so the user finds it convenient to rely
on the platform entirely.
Problem Statement
● The main aim of this project will be reducing patients efforts
to go to a doctor physically during these tough times.
● The system aims to predict diseases at an early stage by using
symptoms as an input.
● As soon as a disease is detected the patient will be provided
with details of medical experts specialised in the concerned
domain based on the patients location.
Contributions

The idea is to make disease prediction, diagnosis and

recommendation of medical experts all in one single
system.Hence reducing the efforts of the patient to search for
doctors.Reducing patient’s efforts to search for the doctors in
that particular domain in the nearest location.Reducing
patient’s efforts to search for the doctors in that particular
domain in the nearest location.

Conclusion
● Comparative study on various disease prediction systems and
algorithms was done to propose a solution for the existing
issues.
● Use of Machine learning to effectively predict diseases and
recommend doctors was done.
● A user friendly and reliable system was proposed.
Future Scope
● Chatbot can be implemented for easier access to queries.
● More number of diseases can be included for prediction along
with considering parameters other than just symptoms.
● Appointment booking can be integrated with the existing
system.
● Information related to the predicted disease can be shown to
the user for better understanding.
