Learning Outcomes:
• Explain how to write and organize a Personal
Reading Portfolio.
Personal Reading Portfolio
What is a Reading Portfolio?
• It refers to a kind of record keeping of books, novels
and articles you read during your course period.
• At least 5 books that you are interested in (each
book is at least 80 pages long) must be read by
every individual at your own convenient time.
• After you finish each book, write a short summary
(150-200 words) of the book. It should answer these
three questions: (a) What is the genre of this book?
(b) Why do you think the author wrote this book?
And (c) What lessons have you learned from the
book?

How to organize your reading portfolio?
• Cover page: Write your full name, English and
Composition II (Course Code: e.g. 101) and Spring
2024 in the middle of the page.
• On the second page, write the following:
Book 1: Title of the book
Name of author: ……………
Year of publication: ……….
Summary: …………………(150-200 words)……….
