PROPERTIES
Disposal
 - is the divestment of unserviceable, no
longer needed, obsolete, forfeited/seized
properties and other assets including
records which have grown into
unmanageable and uneconomical cost of
maintaining such assets and properties.
Modes of Disposal
1.Condemnation / Destruction /
Demolition of the Property
2.Transfer of the Property
3.Donation of the Property
4.Sale of Unserviceable Property
Condemnation of Property
Any or all of the following conditions
shall constitute disposable property:
 1. Property which can no longer be
repaired or reconditioned;
 2. Property whose maintenance cost/costs
of repair more than outweighs the benefits
and services that will be derived from its
continued use;
 3. Property that has become obsolete or
outmoded because of changes in
technology;
 4. Serviceable property that has been
rendered unnecessary due to change in
the agency’s functions or mandate;
 5. Unused supplies, materials and spare
parts that were procured in excess of
requirements; and
 6. Unused supplies and materials that has
become dangerous to use because of long
storage or use of which is determined to
be hazardous.
Hence, a PPE that exceeded its estimated useful life yet remains to be
functional and does not meet any of the criteria mentioned above
should NOT be considered as PPE items for disposal.

assets of properties.
Transfer of the Property
Transfer of Property

 Transfer of Property is the method of


Disposal done either with or without cost
from one (1) owning agency to another
agency. Cost herein refers to payment
based on the appraised value of the
property.
Donation of Property
Donation of Property

 Donation of Property is the method of


disposal wherein the property were
donated to charitable, scientific, education
and or cultural institutions.
Sale of Unserviceable Property
Sale of Unserviceable Property

 Sale of Unserviceable Property is the


method of disposal wherein the
unserviceable valuable property maybe
sold thru public bidding.
