 Background and Context
● Bollywood isn't just about movies, it’s a part of our culture
● Bollywood has made us laugh, cry, and feel so many emotions
● It brings people closer, makes them smile, and keeps their traditions alive
● Films are perhaps the single strongest agency for the creation of a national mythology of
heroism, consumerism, leisure, and sociality.
● Cinema is the contested site where meanings are negotiated, traditions made and remade,
identities affirmed or rejected.
Research Question
How does Bollywood influence lifestyle choices of the Indian population?
And if it does, is Bollywood a way of life?
Literature Review
For the purpose of our literature review, we have undertaken an
annotated bibliography analysis of all the sources that we used to
research and gather information.
