for a better tomorrow

THINK GREEN, ACT GREEN

Plastic-A Boon or Bane

Plastics are synthetic polymer materials which have the

ability to be moulded or shaped using
heat or pressure. Plastic is used to make many materials
which are used by humans. Polythene bags are used to carry
vegetables, fruits which makes it a boon.

Despite its advantages, the non-biodegradable nature of

plastic poses a significant environmental threat. Plastics
take hundreds to thousands of years to decompose, leading
to land and water pollution which makes it a bane.
What is Recycling?
Recycling is a simple act that can have a big impact
on the environment.
Recycling is giving a second life to
material that we believe is useless like
plastic bottles or bags, getting the most
out of it to create other useful objects.
Making Pots for Plants, Bird Feeders
etc.
Ways of Recycling Plastic

These techniques include pyrolysis, chemical recycling, and

gasification. Pyrolysis is a technique that involves recycling
plastic waste into crude oil. Chemical recycling entails
reducing a polymer into a monomer that can create new
products.

High Quality Roads are also being made out of plastic.

For example, manufacturers apply chemical recycling to
make nylons. Other method is selling these plastics on
apps which gives money in place of the plastic and sends
it to a recycling firm.
My Idea- Usage of Waste Recycling 3D Printers on
a Large Scale
3D Printing:
3D printing is an innovative technology that turns digital designs into
physical objects. It involves the layer-by-layer assembly of material to
create a 3D object. With 3D printing, you can create almost anything,
including recycled showpieces from waste materials.

With sustainable 3D printing, waste can be repurposed into beautiful

showpieces. This process is eco-friendly and creative. Waste Recycling
3D Printers can be inserted in societies, offices, schools and hotels. It
can be used just like the can dispensers on roads. Materials like Plastic
bottles, jars, plastic bags etc. can be used. 3D printing allows us to
convert waste into useful items. It reduces the environmental impact of
waste and saves resources and energy. With 3D printing, we can produce
objects with precision and flexibility, and experiment with new designs and
materials.
