MECHANICS

 Participants must be bona fide Kindergarten to Grade 10 learner


of Saint Francis of Assisi College System or Saint Anthony
School of Los Baños S.Y. 2023-2024.
 Quiz bee questions shall be based on the subject lessons from
first quarter to fourth quarter, general knowledge or current
events.
 Learners belonging to the same grade level shall compete with
one another regardless of the section.
MECHANICS

 The final round will be done through face-to-face modality.


 Only students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 shall take the l quiz bee
final round.
 A minimum of two (2) teachers shall administer the quiz bee: one
teacher shall serve as the quiz master and one or more teacher as
observer or verifier and scorer.
 The quiz bee shall be divided into three (3) categories: Easy, Average,
and Difficult.
 Each category has five questions.
MECHANICS

 The contestants will be given a limited time to answer:


 Multiple Choice Question/Identification
(Kindergarten – Grade 3)
 10 seconds to answer in the Easy round;
 15 seconds in the Average round; and
 20 seconds in the Difficult round.

 5 seconds to answer in the Easy round;
 8 seconds in the Average round; and
 10 seconds in the Difficult round.

 Problem Solving/Solving Equations (Kindergarten –


Grade 3)
 20 seconds to answer in the Easy round;
 35 seconds in the Average round; and
 50 seconds in the Difficult round.

 Problem Solving/Solving Equations (Grade 4 –


Garde 10)
 15 seconds to answer in the Easy round;
 30 seconds in the Average round; and
 45 seconds in the Difficult round.
MECHANICS

 Each correct answer will earn: 2 points for the easy round, 3
points for the average round, and 5 points for the difficult
round.
 Each question shall be read twice. After the quiz master reads
each question, the countdown timer starts. The contestants
must raise their boards as soon as the signal is given when the
time is up.
 The written answers on the board should be clear and
understandable. If the quiz master or observers cannot read or
understand the answer, it will automatically be invalidated
MECHANICS

 Answers for multiple choice questions must be written in


capital letters. For open questions, answers must be spelled
correctly and with complete units and accuracy when so
required. Misspelled answers and those without the units
required are considered wrong.
 Contestants will be ranked according to their total scores in the
three rounds.
 In case of a tie, a clincher question will be given. The first
contestant to give the correct answer will emerge as the winner.
MECHANICS

 Any form of cheating or academic dishonesty is strictly


prohibited and will be punished by disqualification at the
decision of the organizers.
 Only the official contestants may raise a complaint or
clarification.
 Complaints on a given question should be made before the
next question is asked. This should be directed to the Chairman
of the Board of Judges.
 The decision of the board of judges is final.
