Introduction of ADEL Hotel Lock Management Software A90

A90 V7.3 hotel lock management software together with ADEL Mifare card,
encoder, and electronic lock is a total solution package specially designed by
ADEL Group to satisfy various demands for hotel management and practical need.

You may also purchase the interface software from ADEL in case you need
integrate A90 with the PMS system that your hotel are having.
It supports 4 kinds of PMS system commonly used: Fidelio, Socket, File, RS232

Please keep the serial code properly!!


The serial code of A90 software is generated by the hotel name, system
administrator is required to enter the serial code and hotel name accordingly and
keep the serial code properly.

System Administrator
System Administrator
The hotel has to appoint a system administrator before starting the installation of
A90 software, who responsible for the maintenance and management. The user
ID“SYSTEM”and password“123” is set by default, which have completed
operation rights and card authority.

The responsibility of system administrator :


1) Guide ordinary operators to use the lock management software.
2) Maintain and backup the A90 V6.51 database periodically.
3) Manage and maintain entire lock system (including both hardware and
software).
4) Manage and maintain hotel locks, and check the lock’s clock periodically.

Connect Encoder

Run A90 for The First Time
Initialization 2. Click “OK” , input the 30-digit serial

Setup System Parameters
c) Total Building(s). Default value is 1 and the maximum is 89

day. It can be changed according to the actual need between
00:00:00 to 23:59:59. Here we keep the default value.

f) Automatically erase guest card over checkout time: If this


box is ticked, the guest cards will be automatically erased
after the check-out time if they are not deleted manually by
the operator and this room will be shown as “Empty” in the
system.

Setup Card Issue Parameters

f) Allow to issue guest card after room is full: If it is ticked,

Duplicate Card & Add Card
The difference between Duplicate Key function and Add Key function:

1. No matter using Duplicate Key function or Add Key function, both the card
holder’s name and the ID number are different from the initial guest card.

2. However, cards issued by Duplicate Key function have the same valid period with
the initial guest card; while cards issued by Add Key function can have a different
valid period and one bed will be added to the room in the system.

Add Key function is suitable for hotels which offer bed & breakfast service.

Additional Features

Room Type & Zone Management

Attention – (Room Management)
NOTE :

1) The setup procedure for Foreman Zone, Floor Zone, and Maid Zone is the same.

2) The letter A, B, C right before the code number of Zone can not be modified or deleted, and
the zone code have to be formed by 3 digits.

3) We highly recommend that one floor zone is only for one floor to prevent misleading.

4) More than one Foreman / Floor / Maid cards can be issued for one zone.

5) If you want to delete any zone, you must make sure:


i/ No foreman / floor / maid cards have been issued for this zone.
ii/ No guest rooms have been designated to this zone.

Make Room Wizard
Set the sequence number for rooms at the same Click Room => Make Room Wizard on the

1) System Card • Managerial card, for setup important parameters and initializing locks.

2) Program Card • Managerial card, for setup important parameters. (can not unlock door)

3) Layer Card • For setup layer level / passage lock / lift controller / energy saving
switch. (can not unlock door)

4) Master Card • Can unlock all the ADEL electronic locks in this hotel, including lock in
lockout status. 19

5) Emergency Card • Can unlock all the ADEL electronic locks in this hotel, including lock in
lockout status. Keep them open with alarm in case of fire or accident.

6) Lockout Card • It can lock up the door of specific room when it is out of service.
(can not unlock door)

7) Foreman Card • Can unlock all the ADEL electronic locks in specific foreman zone
(usually a number of floors), no time limitation, but can not unlock the
door in lockout status.

• Can unlock all the ADEL electronic locks in specific floor zone, no time

a number of floors), have time limitation, can not unlock the door in
lockout status.

• Cancel the rights of guest card of specific lock in case the guest refuse to

*P.S. : You are not required to issue all the cards type, but according to the

Card Management
Issue Cards:
Click “Card” => Issue Card, or “Issue” on the operation interface,

NOTE :
1.The System Card must be issued before issuing other cards.

2.Only one System Card and one Program Card can be issued in the Lock Management Software.
After the System Card is issued, it will not be available at Card Type.

3.A System Card with clear function can only clear the data from the locks set by itself. If a lock
has already been set by a system card issued in another system, the data in the lock can only
cleared by a mechanical key. If you fail to set a lock by the System Card, please unlock it with
mechanical key and hold. Keep all the latches into the mortise, touch the system card to clear the
data at the same time.

Card Management
4. Layer card is for setup layer level / passage lock / lift controller / energy saving switch.
(can not unlock door)

5. The Check-In day and time of Guest Card is pre-set by default according to the computer’s
clock. It can not be modified and will be updated every single minute.

6. The first Spare Card will be invalided after activating the second Spare Card on the same lock.

7. The inhabit card can be set to cancel all the Guest Card specific Guest Card

8. Query Card: a full set of query card including two cards, 1 & 2, each query card supports up to
414 lock opening records. Card 1 is use to read the latest 414 records and Card 2 for last 414
records. Please use the Card 1 only if the lock is having less than 414 records.

Set Lock
1) Set System Card:
If the lock is a new lock without system
information, you can set the lock by System Card
directly: Touch the System Card on sensor, the
lock will beep once with the green indicator
flashing once, system card is set successfully.

NOTE: Both the System Card with clear function or not


can also used to set lock.

If there are existing data in the lock, please set as the


following:
a) Take off the cylinder cover, insert the mechanical
key and unlock, turn all the latches into the
mortise, the lock will beep once and the green
indicator will flash once. Retain this position;
b) Touch the System Card on the sensor of the lock,
the lock will beep once with the green indicator
flashing once, system card is set successfully.
c) Remove the System Card and take out the
mechanical key.

a) It is essential to set the clock in locks while the valid period of Guest Card and Maid Card are
limited by day and time.

b) Issue the clock card to setup the clock in locks:


Touch the clock card on the sensor after the red indicator goes off. The lock will beep once
with the green indicator flashing once, after clock card is set successfully.

c) Repeat step b) to set the clock of all locks.

NOTE :
Please try to check the time / re-set the clock quarterly in order to keep its accuracy.

Check-Out
Customers are required to Check-Out at the Early leave / Normal check-out :

There are two common cases:

Method 1:
Issue a Inhibit Card, and cancel the rights of specific Guest Card on the guest room lock directly.
NOTE: it does not work for Guest Card did not used to unlock the door before.

Method 2:
1.Click “Lost & Damage” (L&D).
2.Choose Guest Card at card type and enter the room number.
3.Click on the room you need.
4.Click “Lost” and “OK” to exit the dialogue box .
5.Re-issue Guest Card for the same room, and use this guest card to unlock the door once.
6.Check-out with this Guest Card. (Operation => Erase)
