spirit as the pre-eminent feature of life.

• Idealism stresses the 2 form of whole world, i.e, Spiritual world and
Material world.
• The spiritual world is real whereas the material world is transistory &
mortal.
• Ideas are more important than objects.
• Man is more important than the material nature.
𝓟𝓡𝓘𝓝𝓒𝓘𝓟𝓛𝓔𝓢 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓽....

• The prime aim is to acieve spiritual values such as


truth, beauty, goodness.
• Self-realisation is the prime of the personality
development.
• Idealism believes in unity in diversity
𝓘𝓓𝓔𝓐𝓛𝓘𝓢𝓜 𝓘𝓝 𝓔𝓓𝓤𝓒𝓐𝓣𝓘𝓞𝓝

All idealist believe that man is born with the spiritual


self. Education helps in increasing spiritual values by
developing moral values, self realisation, and character
development.

𝓘𝓓𝓔𝓐𝓛𝓘𝓢𝓜 &

• Which best represent or symbolize the true ideas of which
the human race has knowledge.
• He is ambitious to deserve honours and scholarships
• He wants to grow in knowledge and wisdom
• He strives for perfection because the ideal person is
perfect
𝓒𝓤𝓡𝓡𝓘𝓒𝓤𝓛𝓤𝓜
The curriculum is based upon the idea on assumption of the spiritual
nature of man. In preserving the subject matter content, which is essential
for the development of the individual mind, the curriculum must include
those subjects essential for the realization of mental and moral
development.

The subjects are literature, language, religion, metaphysics, culture,


sociology, ethics, arts, music etc.
𝓓𝓘𝓢𝓒𝓘𝓟𝓛𝓘𝓝𝓔

The teacher should impress the students by him


affectionate and sympathetic behaviour. The should make
the child realize that self-discipline is for his own good
and development.
𝓛𝓘𝓜𝓘𝓣𝓐𝓣𝓘𝓞𝓝𝓢
• Idealistic concepts like Spirit, Mind, Soul the cosmos
have little relevance in classroom teaching.
• The idealistic education stresses on imitation of
models, but younger generation prefers invention and
originality rather than imitation.

Too much emphasis on good manners and modesty may


be mistaken for diffidence/ hesitancy.
• Idealistic scheme of education by and large, plays less
attention to physical, industrial electronic and social
environment of today
