From January up to May 2024

Backround
The Philippines is an island country in
Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean.
It is an archipelago consisting of more than
7,000 islands and islets lying about 500 miles
off the coast of Vietnam.
In January 2024, gentle breezes
swept across our islands,
providing a cool respite from
the tropical heat.
However, as we moved into
February and March, the
seasonal shift brought changes in
wind patterns, signaling the
onset of the Northeast Monsoon
or "Amihan".
By mid-year, the Southwest
Monsoon, or "Habagat," took the
stage.
During this period
the Intertropical Convergence
Zone or ITCZ played a
significant role, especially during
July and August.

Moving into the
present day
we're seeing a gradual transition
towards more settled weather patterns.

However, it's essential to stay vigilant,

especially during this transition period,
as sporadic showers and thunderstorms
can still occur
