ANALYSIS OF DAMAGE

TO CAR BRAKES
Background

Brakes have a very important ole in vehicle engineering and transportation engineering for the safety and security of driving.
Basically, brakes have function of slowing don and regulating the movement of a rotation.
Even though the brake system is very important,do not yet understand and understand the function and workings of the brakes.
As time goes by,the brakes need maintenance to prevent unwanted accident.

And with this research the author hopes that we can get to know more about the problems, functions, how the types of brakes
Work and can add and broaden our insight, especially regarding the brake system.
The Identification Of Reserach

1 Brake failure 2 Brake stuck 3 Brakes vibrate

Caused by Caused by dust This is caused by the surface of
running out of entering. the disc or brake disc being
brake fluid uneven and bubly.
The Benefits Of Writing

For writer For campus

To gain knowledge about matters Can be used as a reference and
related to brake damge to cars. additional information neededto develop
further knowledge of braking system
maintenance in cars

For readers
Can gain insight into brake repair
techniques
The Theory

1.Meaning Of Brake
a brake is a device to slow down or stop the movement of rotating wheel.
If the movement of the wheels is slowed down, the vehicle movement will
automatically become slower. The function of the brakes is to absorb energy
either kinetic energy from moving parts or potential energy generated by other
by other components.

2. Brake Function
 Control the vehicle speed while on the road
 Stop the vehicle when stopping
 As a safety and security tool for drivers
The Main Components
In The Brake System:

1. Brake pedal
2. Brake boster
3. Master cylinder
4. Proportioning valve
5. Flexible hose
6. Brake lever/handbreak
7. Disc break
8. Drum break
How Brakes Work?
Disc brakes push the piston using hydrolic pressure sent
Through the brake lines from the master cylinder to make
The disc brake pads onto both sides of the disc brake rotor
And stop the tire from rotating.because the disc brake rotor
And disc brake pads rub against each other, heat occurs due
To friction, but because the disc brake rotor and brake body
Are open, the frictional heat that occurs can easily evaporate
Methedology Of Research

• Place:
Toyota repair shop

• Time:
research time was 12 april to 15 april 2018

• Collective data:
library studies and field studies

• Analysis data:
make a comparison between data obtained from the company and data from literature studies
Conclusions
Some conclusions that can be drawn are:
1. a. brake fluid runs out due to brake pad friction
b. brake pads wear out because the brake fluid runs out so it lacks grip
c. the brake piston is damaged due to brake lining which should be replaced in time
d. the brake fluid hose is clogged with dirt

2. The way to indentify components of a damged brake system is to carry out an inspection
starting fom a visual inspection

3. To fix problems with the brake system, you must first know the cause of why the brake system
is experiencing problems or is damaged
