STARS
Stars are colossal, luminous spheres of
hot gases. Despite their brilliant shine,
they're not eternal. They pass through
stages known as their life cycle,
including formation, main sequence,
red giant or supergiant, and potentially
ending as a white dwarf, neutron star,
or black hole.
WHAT ARE THE
DIFFERENT STAGES IN
STAR'S LIFE CYCLE?
STELLAR
A stellar nebula is a vast cloud of gas
STAR
core, the core contracts while the
outer layers expand.
Star becomes a red giant or
supergiant depending on its initial
mass.
Helium fusion and later stages of
nuclear fusion occur.
PLANETARY
NEBULA
The outer layers are expelled,
creating a glowing shell of gas.
The remaining core becomes a
white dwarf.
WHITE
DWARF
White dwarf is a dense, cooling
remnant of a star.
No more fusion occurs, it slowly
cools and fade over time.
SUPERNOVA
When fusion stops, the core collapses, and
the outer layers explode.
A supernova releases tremendous energy
and can outshine entire galaxies briefly.
NEUTRON
STAR OR
NEUTRON STAR : If the core remnant is
BLACKa neutron HOLE
between 1.4 and 3 solar masses, it becomes
star.
OR OR OR
