Is a department of the Pacific region of Colombia known for


hosting the largest Afro-Colombian population in the nation,
and a large population of Amerindian and mixed African-
Amerindian Colombians
CHOCÓ
Choco has different beautiful places to visit, however,
people don’t know about these place and prefer to visit
Cartagena or Santa Marta.

FESTIVALS AND EVENTS
1.San Pacho Festival: This is perhaps the most famous festival in
Chocó and is held annually in Quibdó.
2.Festival del Rio: This festival celebrates the Atrato River, an
essential waterway in the region.
3.Carnival of Tadó: Tadó, a town in Chocó, celebrates Carnival
in a lively and colorful manner, featuring music, dance, costumes,
and parades.
4.Cococho Music Festival: This music festival, also known as the
Chocó Pacific Music Festival.
5.Feast of the Immaculate Conception: Celebrated in December,
this religious festival is marked by processions, music, dance, and
traditional rituals in honor of the Immaculate Conception.
