INTRODUCTION

Khanpur Lake/Dam is a significant natural


resource and a popular tourist destination in our
area. However, recent observations have
highlighted the growing concern of pollution and
littering in and around the lake.

Khanpur Dam, located in the Haripur District of Pakistan, is a significant
reservoir built on the Haro River. The dam was completed in 1983 and has a
storage capacity of approximately 110,000 acre-feet

cleaning approach.
o Our team of dedicated students carefully and diligently
undertook the task of removing debris, sediment, and vegetation
from the reservoir, ensuring that hard-to-reach spots and sensitive
sections of the dam were thoroughly cleaned.
o By utilizing manual labor, we were able to achieve a detailed
and precise cleaning, addressing specific areas that required
attention.
o Through our dedicated efforts, we tried to ensure that Khanpur
Dam remained in optimal condition, promoting its functionality
and long-term sustainability.
