south of Tunisia, famous for its unique culture.

Matmata is not just a town on
the edge of the Sahara, it is a
place of stunning famous
monuments.
The landscape is truly
charming !
It was even in starwars.
Homes
The most special thing about Matmata is its
underground homes.
These homes stay cool in the hot desert.

Women in Matmata wear the Malya and men wear the Barnous.
 language

They mostly speak Arabic but in some places, locals speak Amazigh
 festival

Matmata has a famous international festival
