LOGBOOK ENTRY
BI no. 12-20000-0022 ONE OIL PRODUCER AND TWO WATER INJECTION FACILITIES AT
MRJN 2030. During surveillance inspection at MRJN 2030 PDM it was found that the
contractor STAR is performing the pre-commissioning activities with witness of
proponent inspection for low voltage Switchrack Panel board, transformers without
approved QC for coverage at site which is in non-compliance to SATIP-P-116-05
Switchrack and Distribution racks, Act no. 4.4 and SATIP-P-116-07 Act no. 4.3 which is a
hold point for CPY & CTR. Moreover, this is a violating schedule Q, Para 1.8 stating
CONTRACTOR shall provide notice of said inspection or test as specified in the approved
inspection and test plan. Contractor shall provide immediate corrective action on this
violation to ensure compliance with SA Standards and SATIP requirements.

We are going to discuss the potential concerns may be caused due the lack of Quality
Control Inspectors.

POTENTIAL CONCERNS
 Lack of quality control inspectors can lead to increase in defects
in construction and pre-commissioning.
 No inspections because of no Inspectors may lead to ARAMCO
Violations, Activity rejections which ultimately leads to low PQI
and can have a negative impact on Contractor’s quality and
reputation.
 Quality control inspections provide valuable feedback and data
that can help improve Quality and prevent future Quality related
issues.
 Any potential Construction or Pre-Commissioning violation can
go unnoticed and can a major problem in future.
