RONALD ALLAN POE

Ronald Allan Poe, or Fernando Poe junior, was a descendant of a mestizo of


Spanish descent, and a mestiza with Irish American Ancestry. He was born in
Manila, august 20 1939. His parents were not legally married when he was born,
they were later married in 1940 .
Poe was dubbed as the “Da King” of Philippine movies because of his box office
hits. He made over 200 films in his lifetime and ran a successful movie
production firm. Among his famous movies include playing Flavio in the
mythical Ang Panday series, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, Dalubhasa, Dito sa Pitong
Gatang and Aguila.
Nestor Vicente Madali Gonzalez

Nestor Vicente Madali Gonzalez, who sometimes adopted the


surname spelling “Gonzales” was born into a family of
educators, his mother being a teacher and his father being a
school supervisor. When he was four years old, Gonzales moved
with his family to the barrio of Wasig in Mindoro. This place had
a seminal influence on his writing.

• His most famous works, are, Hunger in Barok, Life and Death
in a Mindoro Kaingin, and Mindoro beyond suggest
RICKY LEE

Ricardo Arreola Lee (born March 19, 1948) is a Filipino


screenwriter, journalist, novelist, and playwright. He was
conferred the Order of National Artists of the Philippines for
Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. Starting in 1973, he has
written more than 180 film screenplays.

Among the books he has published are: Si Tatang at mga Himala


ng Ating Panahon (an anthology of his fiction, reportage, behind-
the-scene musings and the full screenplay of Himala), Pitik-Bulag
Sa Buwan Ng Pebrero, Brutal/Salome (the first book of
screenplays in the Philippines), Moral, Para Kay B and Bukas
May Pangarap
