1.1PROBLEM SOLVING
• I am making a stroller for those people who may have disabilities and are maybe old and need to carry
things in their hands but their hands are occupied by the stroller so this stroller will contain storage
compartments enabling those who can't help themselves to now do so .

3.1 SKILLS USED

• I USED CRITICAL THUNKING SKILLS WHICH WAS ABLE TO

LET ME EVALUATE PROS AND CONS OF ALL THE DESIGNS
AND CHOOSE THIS DESIGN OVER THE OTHERS AS IT HAD THE
SMALLEST AMOUNT OF CONS AND MORE PROS
ETHAN ZAITHWA MANDALA GCSE ENGINEERING

CALCULATION
• BATTERY PROVIDES 12VOLTS
• THE MOTORS 12 VOLTS
• CELLS ARE IN PARALLEL
• CURRENT PASSING AFTER MAKING THE CIRCUIT IS = 24V

4.1 DISTANCE

For this specific prototype the height will be small but for the production ones there will be different sizes
to accommodate different people and their needs and different colour so it not really uniform because with
offering different colours it gives people a sense of identitiy and their able to express themselves in more
than one way .
5 PRODUCT REALIZATION
ETHAN ZAITHWA MANDALA GCSE ENGINEERING

5.1 PRODUCT REALIZATION

AREA TO CRITISIZE RATED ON A SCALE 1-10
IS IT FRIENDLY TO THE ENVIRONMENT 8
CANT IT BE RECYCLED ? 9
CAN IT EASILY BE REPAIRED ? 6
HOW EASY IT IS TO RETHINK ANOTHER DESIGN ? 8
CAN THE PRODUCT BE USED FOR OTHER THINGS? 4
CAN THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL USED BE REDUCED TO 2
REDUCE THE WEIGHT?

5.2 PRODUCTION REALIZATION

• I do agree that my product has many benefits but I went around asking my friends to give a critical
point of view of my project and the results are those in the slide before
• Normally 9/10 of the time walkers are safe for people to use but with my product it is possible for there
to be an electrical fire due to its electrical components.
• There some parts of the walker cannot be fixed at home for example the shelving if it is broken and the
screws are loose it would need to be fixed in a workshop as there is a specific size of screws which was
used and this could be time consuming and costly . The materials used can easily be taken apart to
make new products later on in time making it more sustainable and better for the environment.
6TESTING AND EVALUATING
ETHAN ZAITHWA MANDALA GCSE ENGINEERING

6.1
• After I had finished the production stage of my project I started
testing it by putting it in different situations. For example how
much weight it can hold, how smooth the surface is ,is it
appealing to different users etc.
• My walker looks different to the other walkers because it
includes spaces for holding things and electrical components
because the weight may be to heavy so the motor wil help with
that.
• The accessibility of the walker is better because it just doesn’t
contain one but 3 shelves so it is able to hold more
