INAHING BAKA, GINAHASA NG ‘ADIK’ SA CAVITE

Arestado ang isang lalaki matapos maaktuhan ng mga barangay tanod na nanghahalay
ng inahing baka sa Barangay Biga Dos, Silang, Cavite. Nakakulong na si Andy Loyola,
46-anyos. Kwento ng may-ari ng baka na si Rustico Carlo, Martes ng umaga ay itinali
niya ang kanyang alaga sa bukid at iniwan ng ilang oras pero nang balikan ay wala na
ito. Agad niyang ipinagbigay-alam sa barangay ang pagkawala ng alaga kaya hinanap
nila ito at doon naaktuhan ang suspek na hinahalay ang kanyang baka. Nakumpiska ang
ilang piraso ng drug paraphernalia mula sa suspek na hinihinalang nasa ilalim ng
impluwensya ng droga. Nabatid namang hindi ito ang unang pagkakataong nanghalay
ng hayop ang suspek. Napag-alaman ding buntis ang hinalay na baka. Nahaharap sa
kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 8485 o Animal Welfare Act ang suspek. Report from

ADIK NAGBIGTI SA DEPRESYON


NAGPATIWAKAL sa pamamagitan ng pagbigti ang isang umano’y adik na lalaki nang
makaramdam ito ng depresyon nang masobrahan ito sa paggamit ng droga sa Navotas City
kahapon ng umaga, Disyembre 27. Natagpuang patay sa loob ng kanilang bahay sanhi ng
matagal na pagkakabigti ay nakilalang si Reginio Sebastian, 29, ng Tulay 7, Bgy. Daanghari
ng nasabing lungsod. Base sa imbestigasyon ni PO3 Jeffrey Montero, dakong 9:00 ng umaga
nang matagpuan ang bangkay ng biktima na nakabigti ng nylon cord sa loob ng kanilang
bahay. Natuklasan ang bangkay ng biktima ng kapatid nitong si Marcial Sebastian na agad na
tumawag sa himpilan ng pulisya upang ipaalam ang pangyayari at maimbestigahan ng mga
awtoridad. Lumalabas sa imbestigasyon ni PO3 Montero nasobrahan sa paggamit ng droga
ang biktima kaya nakaramdam umano ito ng depresyon dahilan para magbigti. Hanggang sa
kasalukuyan naman ay patuloy na nagsasagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon ang mga
awtoridad upang matukoy kung may naganap na foul play sa pagkamatay ng biktima.

HOW ARE DRUGS
TAKEN?
SMOKING / INHALING

FUMES
The drug goes to the lungs and is then rapidly
absorbed into the bloodstream.
• Takes effect in 7-10 seconds
SNORTING
• Snorted chemicals will enter the bloodstream
through the mucus membrane in the nose.
• Takes effect in 3-5 minutes.
ORAL ROUTE
• Swallowing the drugs allows the drugs to move onto
the stomach where they are absorbed by the
stomach lining and then enter the bloodstream.
• Sublingual - route of administration by
which substances diffuse into the blood
through tissues under the tongue.
• Takes effect in 20-30 minutes.
INJECTION
• Injecting or putting fluid into the body, usually with
a syringe and a hollow needle which is pierced
through the skin to a sufficient depth for the drugs to
be administered into the body.

1. Intravenous (IV) Injection – takes 15-30 seconds
2. Intermuscular (IM) Injection – takes 3-5 mins.
3. Subcutaneous (SC) Injection – takes 3-5 mins.
