Established in 1965

Introduction
• Security papers limited was incorporated in 1965 as a first company in Pakistan to manufacture
security papers with unique features primarily bank note paper.
• Security Papers was formed as a Private Limited Company in 1965, as a joint venture of Iran,
Turkey & Pakistan under the RCD Framework. It was then converted into a Public Limited
Company in 1967 and listed in Pakistan Stock Exchange .
•Shareholding Details:
40% SBP through PSPC | 10% Iran | 10% Turkey | 30% Institutions as Private Investments
• The geographical presence of the Company is in Karachi, Pakistan, while its customers are
located in Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Peshawar and other major cities
of the country
• Company has a production capacity of 5,000 tons per year, production of bank note paper every
year is 3,300 tons only.

•We are a KPID A – 1 installation
•Import of any security papers in Pakistan is not allowed as per import policy. Exceptions are
based on certification of Security Papers if they are not able to produce the said paper locally.
•Any security paper which can not be produced in Pakistan can be imported subject to NOC of
Security Papers limited.
•Our raw material procurement and production capabilities are fully equipped to handle
contingencies and disruptions
•We value our relationship with ECP in the Development and Production of Secure Watermark
Paper specific to their requirements and are committed for the future
