Contract is a Mutual agreement between the two parties

under specific terms and conditions on which a contractor
undertake the execution of work for certain amount from
the owner or department in the case of government works.
 Classification Of Contractor

a. Class I Contractor
b. Class II Contractor

1. Class I Contractor :- This License is typically for large-scale projects
and allows contractors to undertake government projects with no limit in
the contract value

2. Class II Contractor:- This license is for medium-scale projects, and the

contractor is eligible to undertake government projects up to 750 Lakh.

3. Class III Contractor:- This license is for small-scale projects, and

contractors can undertake government projects up to 300 Lakh.
4. Class IV Contractor:- This license is for projects, and contractors can
undertake government projects up to 150 Lakh.

5. Class V Contractor:- This license is for small-scale projects, and

contractors can undertake government projects up to 50 lakh

6. Class VI Contractor:- This license is for small-scale projects, and

contractors can undertake government projects up to 15 Lakh

Unemployed Graduates Diploma holders in Civil / Electrical engineering

who are Domiciled in Maharashtra and have passed the qualifying
examination and have obtained the degree or diploma from University /
Institution, recognized by the Director of Technical education. Maharashtra
State / State concerned, may get themselves directly registered in class V for
that he has to pay Rs 10,000 as registration as a contractor and can
undertake government project upto 50 lacs in case of Civil Engineers
