DANCE THERAPY

The history of dance therapy dates back thousands of years, dating back to
rituals where dance played a role not only in entertainment, but also in the
healing process. However, as a science and practice, dance therapy began to
develop recently.
Dance therapy is based on the
belief in the close connection
between body and mind. Its
include the use of movement,
music and dance to achieve
psychological healing. Through
dance we can recognize, express
and transform emotions, and
improve sense of self.
Dance therapy provides a wide range of physiological benefits.
Among them: reducing stress and anxiety, improving mood, social
skills, improving physical fitness, coordination and flexibility.
Dance therapy programs can
be tailored to suit different
age groups and individual
needs.
Research data shows positive
changes on both a psychological
and physical level in clients
participating in a dance therapy
program.
