Introduction
• What is Sentiment Analysis-
• Sentiments are feelings, opinions, emotions, likes/dislikes, good/bad.
• Sentiment analysis is Natural Language Processing and Information Extraction task that aims
to obtain writer’s feelings expressed in positive or negative comments, questions and
requests, by analysing a large number of documents.
• Sentiment Analysis is a study of human behaviour in which we extract user opinion and
emotion from plain text.
• Sentiment Analysis is also known as Opinion Mining.
• It is task of identifying whether the opinion expressed in a text or speech positive or negative
Need of Sentiment Analysis
• Due to rapid growth of available subjective text and speech on the internet.
• Web 2.0 which is very supportive for this kind of works.
• To make decisions by machine rather than manual work which consumes a lot of time for
analysis.
• Today’s company are having large number of consumers and when company need to
have survey on their product from their consumers it is next to impossible task to have
each and every single person’s review. So, machine makes this work perfectly done to
each and every consumer.
