Course Description

This course introduces students to Dungeons &


Dragons 5th Edition (D&D5e), one of the world's
most popular Tabletop Role Playing Games
(TTRPG). Students enrolled will learn the basics
of how to run and play sessions of Dungeons &
Dragons, immersing themselves in fantasy worlds
created by their classmates. Through weekly
gaming sessions, students will be able to develop
their communication, problem solving, conflict
resolution, creativity, and leadership, all while
having fun.
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
a) Play a game of D&D5e as either a player or a DM while generally following
LEARNING its basic rules;
COMPETENCI b) Create a character for D&D5e with a basic backstory, personality, and
ES motivations;
c) Create a simple story and a simple setting for a fantasy world; and
d) Creatively solve-problems and rally colleagues together for a common goal.
