something or someone fails to
satisfy your hopes and expectations.

DISAPPOINTMENT has the

potential to destroy our Faith.
 Everyone has the potential to be
disappointed.

We have many disappointments because

life is not easy

We are often disappointed because of our

wrong expectations

There are things that you cannot control

but there are things you can control.
 3 SOURCES OF
DISAPPOINTMENT
 1. WE TRUST MEN INSTEAD OF GOD

In reality, people will let you down. And if you

trust them more than you trust God, your in
serious trouble.
 2. WE LOSING PERSPECTIVE

Luke 24:13-15

They are expecting a good news, and then the good

news walk right in the midst of them and they
don’t even notice it.

.. they were kept from recognizing Him.

He asked them, “What are you discussing so

sadness on their faces.

things that have happened there in these days?

“What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth.

21. but we had hoped that he was the one who was
going to redeem Israel.

 3. UNMATCHED EXPECTATIONS

Struggles in our life have been predicted.

John 16:33 (NLT)

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in
me. Here on earth you will have many trials and
sorrows. But TAKE HEART, because I have overcome
the world.
.. everyone who wants to live a godly life in
Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
II Timothy 3:12 (NLT)
25. Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so
hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the scriptures.
26. Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to
suffer all these things before entering his glory?

 Most of the time, we are
disappointed because God’s purpose
does not match your expectations.

His silence doesn’t mean his absence.

Trust His silence, because God has a
better plan.
 1. A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the
people heard that He had come home.
2. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room
left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to
them.

they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging
through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.

 This disappointment is not a dead
end. They had a plan but God has
a better plan for them.

Some doors are closed, but it

doesn’t mean there is no other
way.
God can turn your mess into a blessing.
God can turn your trials
into triumph.
God can turn your door
into a ceiling.

Disappointment is not a dead end.
