shift from HR fundamentals practices, lack of training
and development facilities, lack of manpower/ under
staffing, employee engagement, performance

article
Does the Garments Tiara need to follow basic
training and development process

 The Garments Tiara repeat only one exercise regularly-The fire drill
procedure. The Garments Tiara does not have an orientation program. The
strategic plan does not govern its training goal.

 Training means giving new or current employees the skill that they need to
perform their jobs. Therefore, the requirement to follow the basic training
and development process is very much needed for the Garments Tiara.

 Training can help employees to understand how their work fits into their company’s
structure, Mission and goals. It is proven that training also fosters engagement. Most
training efforts aim to improve current performance- specifically training new
employees, and whose performance is deficient.

 If right training can be provided, the performance is bound to increase. Increase


performance will boost up the confidence of the employee. Employees often become
more motivated when they understand their work matters.

 In Garments factories, it is customary to hire inexperienced personnel and


train them. The aim is to give those new employees the skill and knowledge

performance standards and analyzing the performance.

The purpose is to choose the right person for promotion, prepare promoted
