There are many characteristics that affect the child with orthopedic
impairment but here are some of the basic general characteristics of children
with orthopedic impairment. Problems with motor skills, lack of mobility,
social interactions often are limited, poor sell-concept and poor self-
advocacy skills, pain and discomfort, body pain and discomfort, slurred
speech, fatigue, poor sleep equally, constant absence from class, limping,
limited or lack of ability to accomplish a particular motor movement,
therefore, this may affect the daily lite of the student and they may have a
poor self-esteem and poor communication towards others (Orthopedically
