• Cover Letter writing is essentially a bridge to the professional


setting that puts you on the main trajectory of your career. It is a
phase that when an individual dives into a professional setting.
Different from the basic caricature of normal workplace
environment. It basically plays the role of a promotional material
of one’s inherent craft.
Why Cover Letters Matter

• Differentiation: Helps you stand out from other applicants by showcasing your unique
qualifications, experiences, and reasons for wanting the position.
• Professionalism: Demonstrates your professionalism and attention to detail in the job
application process, which can leave a positive impression on potential employers.
• Opportunity for Engagement: Encourages dialogue and engagement with the
employer, potentially leading to further discussions and interviews.
• Overall Application Package: Completes the job application package along with your
resume, providing a comprehensive overview of your qualifications and motivations.
• First Impression: Serves as your first impression with the employer, influencing their
initial perception of you as a candidate and potentially setting the tone for further
interactions.
Structure

• Heading: Contact information, date, employer's contact information


• Salutation: Greeting the recipient
• Introduction: Stating the position you're applying for and expressing
your interest
• Body Paragraph(s): Highlighting relevant skills, experiences, and
achievements
• Closing Paragraph: Summarizing your suitability and expressing
gratitude
• Closing: Professional closing and your name.
Crafting the right Hook

• Grabbing the reader's attention with a strong opening sentence


• Mentioning the specific position and where you found the job
listing
• Briefly introducing yourself and expressing enthusiasm for the role
and company
• Catchy but relevant tagline.
• Stand out with your words. Keep yourself consistent.
Onto your Qualifications

• If qualified enough! Keep it under the wraps of the postion that


you are applying.
• Emphasize on your journey’s most strong points.
• Use specific examples to demonstrate your skills and achievement.
• Show keen interest in the company.
A Strong Closing

• Summarizing why you're a good fit for the position


• Reiterating your enthusiasm for the opportunity
• Expressing readiness for further discussion in an interview
• Thanking the employer for considering your application
