The particular symbolism of the work of art, but also the love myth that accompanies it,
they confirm the artist's skill as well as the dedication he showed towards the work
of.
THE LIFE OF JOHANNES VERMEER

Johannes Vermeer was one of the most important Dutch

painters of the Golden Age
of the 17th century, who lived a large part of his life in
the Delft region of the South
Netherlands. At the age of 21, he became a member of
the painters' guild of Agios Loukas while the same
time he marries Catharina Bolnes and they had 14
children, of which four died
at a young age. Today only 36 of his works survive, in
the work the young lady with the pure gaze
the interplay between imagined beauty and lived
experience is captured as
emphasizes Jan Lovelock and its potential for study and
exploration.
The young lady in the artwork represents this character which carries obvious
orientalism
evidence, at a time when such a thing was not common. The turban significantly
defined the
content of the character that the figure received and gave a different breath to the
painting. From
on the other the earring size is too big to be considered real. Most likely
it is a figment of Vermeer's imagination as pearls at the time were
particularly attractive, a fact that is proven by their appearance in the works of others
artists.
