The Story… Image by Noupload from Pixabay

You are on a cruise ship when in a

storm suddenly your boat sinks!

You and the people in your group are

the only survivors in this tragedy.

You spend a terrifying night at sea

until you all wash up on an island the
next morning...

Who are you?
Each person in your group needs to invent and
share:

○ Their name
○ Their back-story (e.g. family, job)
○ Their special skill (e.g. hunting,
running, problem solving)
○ 1 item in their pocket

Write them down.

Day 1
Think about what you need to do on the
first day.

What is the first job for each team member?

Write them down and explain why for each.

Consider: Others on the island? Animals?

Weather? Injuries? Hunger/thirst? Group
member issues? Shelter?

The shelter
You realise a rescue boat is not
coming very soon and you decide
to build a better shelter.

Design this shelter with your

team, considering the materials
you would find on an island.

Draw and label the shelter, including

choices.
More injury!
Two members of your group are
injured while collecting resources!

One has a serious cut on their arm.

One was bitten by a spider.

What do you do for each person?

Write it down and explain your choices.

Message in a bottle
You find a bottle on the island!
Miraculously it has an extremely
short pencil in it and some paper!

You have just enough pencil lead left

to write 6 words on your paper. What
do you write?

Rescue?
Your team decides it is time to take
action to be rescued!

Design some kind of signal that will

draw attention from a passing boat or
aeroplane for your rescue.

natural resources you can collect on
the island. Photo by Nenad Radojčić ona Unsplash
