Me dhimbje

Të rrosh është dhimbje,

Është dhembje vërtetë!
Ngrysesh, gdhihesh i zgjuar a në ëndërr
S'e di ç'të ndodh, a ç'të pret.
Dhembje të ecësh i vetëm në rrugë,
Këpucët tua të ndjesh
Dhembje të hash pak supë e pak bukë,
Të presësh me dhëmbë një presh.
Dhembje të ndjesh një sharje pas shpine
Nga një udhëtar që s'e njeh,
Dhembje kur miqtë s'ta shkelin shtëpinë
Dhe s'duan të dinë si je.
Translation

With pain (E) With pain (F)

Living is pain To live is pain
It is really painful It really hurts
You get bored, wake up awake or in a dream From dawn to dusk awaken or in a dream
You do not know what will happen to you, or what You don't know what will happen or what awaits you
awaits you.
It hurts to walk alone on the street
Pain to walk alone in the street,
To feel your shoes
To feel your shoes,
It hurts to eat some soup and some bread
Pain to eat some soup and some bread,
To cut a leek with teeth
Pain to cut with teeth one leek.
It hurts to feel a curse behind your back
Pain to listen an insult behind your back
From a traveler you don't know
From a traveler that you do not know,
It hurts when your friends don't step into the house
Pain when friends did not enter the house
And they don't want to know how you are.
And when they do not want to know how you are.

• This poem written by Dritero Agolli is one of
the most beautiful poems we have found. In
this poem he describes loneliness, the pain
of loneliness, how night and day pass and
you cannot know if you are in a dream or in
reality.
• During the translation, there are not many
words that could not be translated easily.
Although poetry in Albanian sounds more
beautiful than in English . There is no word
that has lost its meaning The only word that
has several meanings and confused us,
made us wonder which of them fits the
poem best.
• Was the word "ngrysesh" some meanings of
this word are: it is dark, the day passed, the
evening came quickly, dawn to dusk etc.
