The sound
/aʊ/
How to make the sound
a. First, practice the sound /æ/.
Then practise the short sound /ʊ/.
b. Join the two sounds: /æææʊ/.
c. Repeat the target sound /aʊ/.
The second part of the sound is
shorter.

Practice 1:
You will hear five words from each minimal pair. For each word,
write 1 for /ɑː/and or 2 for /aʊ/. First pair is done as an example.
