PERFECTIONISM AND SELF-

ESTEEM AMONG GRADE 11

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

This study will determine the relationship between perfectionism and


the self-esteem of grade 11 students. Specifically, it sought to answer
the following questions:
1. To determine the level of student’s perfectionism in terms of:

1.1 Perfectionistic Self-promotion


1.2 Non-display Imperfection, and
1.3 Non-disclosure Imperfection?

CONCLUSION
The accumulated and analyzed data enabled the researchers to construct the study's conclusion.

The first problem resulted that the level of perfectionism of grade 11 students of Atty. Orlando S.

Rimando National High School was interpreted as high. In the second problem, the overall mean

for self-esteem was interpreted as high. Lastly, for the third problem, the study resulted that there

is a significant relationship between perfectionism and the self-esteem of grade 11 students.


SUMMARY
In a study conducted by Fearn et al. 2021, there existed proof that all additional theories were put out at the

start of the investigation. First, there was a strong negative correlation between self-esteem and perfectionistic

worries, striving, self-critical ruminating, and positive metacognition regarding self-critical behavior. self-critical

ruminating and negative metacognitions about it. Secondly, Self-critical ruminating, perfectionistic worries,

striving for perfection, and both positive and negative metacognitions concerning self-critical ruminating were all

shown to be favorable correlations between them.
