FELICETO JR., V. LARIBA, LPT, EdD.-CAR
OVERVIEW OF THE
COURSE
TRENDS AND ISSUES IN SOCIAL STUDIES
The course, trends, and issues in social studies
typically refer to a comprehensive examination of the
field of social studies education. Social studies as a
subject encompasses various disciplines such as history,
geography, economics, political science, sociology,
anthropology, and sometimes elements of psychology
and philosophy.

In the context of current events, a course on

"Trends and Issues in Social Studies" would focus on
examining how contemporary societal developments,
political changes, cultural shifts, and global events
intersect with the broader field of social studies
education.
