EXPLAIN BUSINESS SECTORS:

• There are three types of business sectors in the economy:Primary, secondary


and tertiary, these three operate in three business enviroments I.e
Micro,market and macro.
• It’s a sub-division of the economic activities e.g primary, secondary and
tertiary.
WHAT DOES EACH SECTOR DO?

• The primary sector deals with the extraction of raw materials and natural resources, which are then sold to the secondary sector as raw materials.
• The secondary sector is the process of turning raw materials into finished goods, which includes manufacturing factories and energy generation.
• The tertiary sector tender services to other businesses which refers to other businesses and consumers, such as transport, legal and health.
EXAMPLES OF EACH SECTOR

• Examples of a primary is mining,fishing, agriculture and Foresty.


• Examples of a secondary is manufacturing and construction.
• Examples of a tertiary is Retailers and wholesalers.
IMPORTANCE OF THESE EXAMPLES:

• Primary
These examples are vital components of the primary sector because they
provide essential raw materials for various industries and fulfill basic human
needs.
• Secondary
These examples are vital in the secondary sector because they involve
transforming raw materials into finished goods as well as for creating jobs.
•TERTIARY

• These examples play crucial roles in the tertiary sector, which focuses on
providing rather than producing goods.
THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE SECTORS:
• The primary sector has contributed the economy with not only the terms of
food security but also due to its employment contribution with only 2,1% of
GDP bug employs 6,4% of the overall workforce.

• In 2022 agriculture had contributed around 2,57% to the GDP of S.A ,where
as industry and services had contributed 24,44% and 62,61% of the total
value added.
INTERRELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE
SECTORS:

• Each sector relies on inputs from the previous one,forming a chain of


production and consumption.For example, agriculture (primary sector)
provides raw materials like wheat,which is then processed into flour in the
secondary sector, and finally,the tertiary sector sells the flour as part of a
finished product like bread🍞.
