INSTITUTIONS OR LAWS ARE MORALLY
ACCEPTABLE OR UNACCEPTABLE .

a. Metaethics –examines the foundations and processes of moral judgements.
b. Normative ethics – investigates the guidelines for how people should live.
THE MORALITY OF PROFIT MOTIVE
• PROFIT MOTIVE IS THE INTENTION TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF BUSINESS
TRANSACTION, OR EXCHANGE .
• IN GENERAL, THE PROFIT MOTIVE IS A DESIRABLE THING. IT PROMOTES
PERSEVERANCE, CREATIVITY, AND THE PROSPERITY OF THE CAPITALIST
SYSTEM.

• Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the study of what is right and
wrong , good and evil, just and unjust, and other ultimate questions of morality.
On the other hand, logic is a branch of philosophy that deals with the study of
methods and principles of correct reasoning.
• Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the study of how people ought to
behave while Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior.
• Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the study of morality of an
individual. Sociology is a social science that deals with the study of behavior of
group of individuals or society.
• Ethics is a study of morality relates in some way with business operations while
Economics is the study of how to use scarce resources effectively and fairly in order
to satisfy as many people’s needs and wants as possible.
• Ethics is based on well-founded norms of right and wrong that specify w2hat
humans ought to do, generally in terms of rights and wrong that specify what
humans ought to do, generally in terms of rights, duties, benefits to society, justice
or freedom while Law is generally understood to be a system of regulations that are
made by competent authority and enforced by social or political organization to
control conduct.

• Religion refers to a social-cultural system or prescribed values, beliefs, worldviews,


holy books, holy sites, prophecies, religious ethics or organizations .Existentialism is
a school of philosophical thought that focuses on individual experience of thinking.
Pragmatism is a philosophical school that rejects the notion that cognition explains,
portray or mirror reality and instead views language and thought as tools and
instruments for prediction, problem solving and action.
• A professional code of conduct is a statement usually a corporate rule that informs
staff members of how they should conduct themselves while representing their
employer, usually it embodies company’s values, sanctions and obligations.Code
of Ethics is a collection of values and guidelines that people and organizations use
to guide their decision-making and to discern between right and wrong.
• Ethics is the study of morality and ethical theories, including accepted norms and
behavior. Etiquette is an ethical code that outlines the anticipated and accepted
social behaviors in accordance with the customs and norms practice by a society, a
social class, or a social group.

• Ethics play a significant role in every aspect of life and undeniably an essential
aspect in education. Education is the act or process of gaining or conveying broad
information, strengthening one’s analytical and decision-making skills and
generally getting oneself or others intellectually ready for adulthood.
