There are 2 kingdoms opposed to each
other.
THE WORLD TODAY
Kingdom of darkness under Satan

Kingdom of LIGHT under Jesus Christ

the devil and his many temptations…
The devil tempted Jesus many
times and Jesus experienced
temptation and persecution
throughout his lifetime. And He
warned that whoever wants to
follow Jesus must be aware
of this reality.”
 All people are born into this battle for the hearts,
minds and souls of men.

People who are instruments for other men’s redemption

are a direct threat to Satan.
EVANGELISM &
SPRIRITUAL
WARFARE
 Evangelism is SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

Against the rulers, authorities, powers of the dark

world and spiritual forces of evil.
(Ephesians 6:12)
Satan does not stand still when dominion and his power
over people are threatened.

He undertakes defensive actions

But most importantly, he makes offensive actions to those

who oppose him
 SPIRITUAL WEAPONS

perseverance
- The Word of God
- Spiritual Gifts
 COMMITMENT TO CHRIST’S
CAUSE
Being righteous and pure in our desire to let others
know of God’s love and will.

Being zealous, passionate and enthusiastic

about our call
SINGLEMINDEDNESS TO OUR
PURPOSE

Being focused on the service at hand

Being perseverant in our service

Being diligent, careful and conscientious

in using God’s word
 SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Wisdom and Knowledge
To share our past hurts and pains to others

Healing
To cease past pain and hurts

Discernment
To be mindful of our decisions and actions towards people and
situations
 SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Faith
To know that there is hope and peace for all those who seek
answers from God

Miracles
To believe that we can turn new leaves through our service

Tongues and Praise

 OUR PROTECTION
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you
may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to
stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of
faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take
the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s
people.” - Ephesians 6:13-18
How do I put on
God’s Armor?
By knowing and
trusting each part of the
armor.
 BELT OF TRUTH
• Protection against lies and errors
• Satan will make us doubt and think
we are too sinful
• Rest on the truth that God loves us
and He will provide
• He will not give us a service or put us
in a situation that we cannot handle
 BREASTPLATE OF
RIGHTEOUSNESS
• Protection against evil thoughts and
sinful desires
• If Satan does not succeed by lies, he will
try bombarding our minds with evil
thoughts
• Resist these temptations
• Temptations are not sin unless entertained
 SANDAL OF PEACE
• Protection against an easy and lazy
life
• If Satan cannot disturb us, he will
try to make us comfortable and cozy
so that we will not disturb him
• We need to leave our comfort zones
and go out after Satan’s captives
 SHIELD OF FAITH
• Protection against unbelief
• Doubts assail us
• Fear of failure can cripple our action
• The nagging question is – Can I do
it?
• We need to have faith that this is
God’s work
 HELMET OF SALVATION
• Protection against physical and
spiritual ailments
• Satan will try to make you sick
• He will create misunderstanding
in your families
• But we have God’s protection
 SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
• Protection against spiritual
deception and accusations
• The Word of God is the Sword of
the Spirit
• Both weapon and protection
• Read the daily Scriptures and the
recommended books
 PRAYER
• Prayer is talking to the Divine Sovereign God who hears
and answers all our prayers according to His will
• Pray at every opportunity
• Undertake fasting
Prayers should be done as much as possible together as a family
or as a community.

“When people say the Rosary together, it is far more

formidable to the devil than one said privately because in
this public prayer, it is an army that is attacking him.”

PRAYER IS ESSENTIAL
Devotion to angels especially to one’s guardian angel is
a very powerful aid in spiritual warfare that many tend to
downplay

Having a devotion means not only having a public and personal

relationship with them but also trying to imitate their
angelic virtues in order to venerate them
 Devotion to one’s Patron Saint
“The saint whose name you bear is already assigned to you
from your Baptism.” – St. Francis de Sales

Getting to know more about him, praying to him, making him

a model for one’s life and often calling upon him for aid is a
very powerful help in growing in holiness.
 • Acknowledge Satan and his power

• Acknowledge that through the Holy Spirit, you have the

power and authority over Satan
• Acknowledge that there will be difficulties along the way

• Acknowledge that this is a won victory

All people are part of this battle
