ACCEPT THE PAIN,
TURN TO THE
HEALER
1 SAMUEL 30:1-8
ACCEPTING THE PAIN
MEANS:
The willingness to acknowledge that there is
problem and I need help to solve it, handle it
wisely, and endure it.
PROBLEMS DO
NOT OFTEN
SIGNIFY THAT
IT’S TIME TO
QUIT.
ACCEPT THE PAIN, TURN
TO THE HEALER:
• PROCESS PROPERLY
• PAIN MANAGEMENT
• PEACE INTERNALLY
#1 PROCESS
PROPERLY
BAT KA NASAKTAN?
David and his men reached Ziklag on the third
day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev
and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and
burned it,

1 SAMUEL 30:1
and had taken captive the women and
everyone else in it, both young and old. They
killed none of them, but carried them off as
they went on their way.

1 SAMUEL 30:2
When David and his men reached Ziklag, they
found it destroyed by fire and their wives and
sons and daughters taken captive.

1 SAMUEL 30:3
So David and his men wept aloud until they
had no strength left to weep.

1 SAMUEL 30:4
David was greatly distressed because the men
were talking of stoning him; each one was
bitter in spirit because of his sons and
daughters. But David found strength in the
Lord his God.
1 SAMUEL 30:6
Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son
of Ahimelek, “Bring me the ephod.” Abiathar
brought it to him,

1 SAMUEL 30:7
and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue
this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”
“Pursue them,” he answered. “You will
certainly overtake them and succeed in the
rescue.”

1 SAMUEL 30:8
A LOT OF TIMES,WE
CANNOT PROCESS THE
PAIN PROPERLY
BECAUSE WE GO TO
THE WRONG PERSON.
WHEN WE PROCESS
THE PAIN THE WRONG
WAY WE END UP WITH
THE WRONG DECISION.
ACCEPT THE PAIN,
TURN TO THE
HEALER.
#2 PAIN
MANAGEMENT
You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
PSALM 63:1
I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.

PSALM 63:2
GOD IS THE BEST PAIN RELIEVER.
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the
night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.
PSALM 63:6-8
GOD’S COMFORT STRENGTHENS OUR
HEARTS.
ACCEPT THE PAIN,
TURN TO THE
HEALER.
#3 PEACE
INTERNALLY
Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,
that what has happened to me has actually
served to advance the gospel.

PHILIPPIANS 1:12
As a result, it has become clear throughout the
whole palace guard and to everyone else that I
am in chains for Christ.

PHILIPPIANS 1:13
WHEN WE TURN TO GOD, WE SEE
PAIN THRU HIS EYES. AND WHEN
THAT HAPPENS, WE SEE THE
BLESSINGS MORE THAN THE HURTS.
And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who have
been called according to his purpose.

ROMANS 8:28
IN CHRIST, MY END
IS ALWAYS
VICTORIOUS AND
NEVER IN PAIN.
ACCEPT THE PAIN,
TURN TO THE
HEALER.
