Waliye Kakakhel/ Qoum

The Waliye Kakakhel, also known as the
Qom Yaghay, are a subtribe of the
Kakakhel tribe with a rich history.

- The Kakakhel tribe is of Sayyid


descent, meaning they are the
descendants of the Prophet Muhammad
SAW.
- The tribe is named after their ancestor, Kastir Gul,
also known as Kaka Sahib or Sheikh Rahmakar.
- The Kakakhel were a small clan until the 13th
century and have since spread to various cities in
Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

- The Waliye Kakakhel are the descendants of


Hazrat Sheikh Shah Wali Baba, who is a grandson
of Hazrat Kaka Sahib.
- The Waliye Kakakhel are mainly found in the
Ghizer Valley, but some families have migrated to
other areas like Chitral, Swat, and surrounding
villages.

The Kakakhel families in Ghizer are descendants of
Hazrat Sheikh Shah Wali Baba, who is the grandson
of Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Gul Baba bin Hazrat
Kaka Sahib (Syed Kasteer Gul), a well-known Sufi
saint and Islamic scholar of his time.

The Kakakhel tribe consists of ten
sub-tribes, including
Charvelley/Haziyarey, Rokhmey,
Zikoney, Khoney, Shakarey,
Baloshey, Doulatshovey, Khalifey,
Petaqey, Shokhurmoney and
