Proposed Agreement
Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University, Indonesia and Faculty of Public Health Mahidol University, Thailand agree to promote cooperation between both situations in academic fields of mutual interest through appropriate means as follow: Exchange of faculty members and research staff (PAR) Joint research activities Support of lecturer, research workshops and symposium Exchange of information and academic publications Student exchange Sandwich Program for Master and Doctoral Degree
By the year 2011 both institutions agree to conduct seven (7) joint research activities in the area of: public health nutrition, social determinant of health, health system and management, environmental health, epidemiology, reproductive health and biostatistics, and occupational health and safety. Researches will be conducted in both Indonesia and Thailand. The financial obligation will be covered by Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University for the Indonesian site and Faculty of Public Health Mahidol University for the Thailand site.
Both party agree for their respective students to conduct a fieldwork or research in Indonesia and or Thailand voluntarily. The fieldwork consists of community analysis, public health problems assessment and interventions. The fieldwork and research will be assisted by lecturer from both institutions with no financial obligation imposed.
Items pertaining to the implementation of the exchange programs based on this Agreement shall be negotiated and agreed upon between the faculties concerned in each specific case. This Agreement shall become effective on the date of signing by the official representatives of the two institutions, and will be valid for a period of five (5) years. The Agreement may be renewed for another period before the expiration date upon mutual consent. This Agreement may be amended by consent of both institutions.
