When we have the word “another” that actually comes from


two words:
“an other”
“ an as in “a” or “an” “other” When we use “a” or “an” We
are referring to something without being specific.
“A cat, A tree, an Apple” and it’s the same with “another”.
We just happened to write that as one word these days.

So, we say “This is my bag., and this is my OTHER bag…


Not ANOTHER bag.
Because it is specific…”Its my bag…not others bag”.
