Engineering I am going to graduate from high school and my
career plan is to prepare myself to become an
electrical engineer and be financially stable. An
electrical engineer is a person who designs,
develops, tests, and supervises the manufacture
of electrical equipment.
As of 2023, the U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS stated that, “The Average
salary for an electrical engineer is $182,210 a year” (U.S. Bureau of Labor
Statistics).
"The minimum hour is $54.83 in Colorado” and “The average hourly wage for an
Electrical Engineer I in the United States is $38” (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
Research and It takes five years to get a bachelor's degree and 120 credits in courses are
needed to graduate from college/university (Chron Contributor).
My Interviewee, Antonio said, “You are required to have a 3.0 GPA or above to get
a job in this field”. Having a GPA lower than a 3.0 is not going to get you a
job and you will mostly not graduate with that having it above a 3.0 is crucial.
