Work Schedule

Work Schedule

defi nes the employee’s

working pattern, shows
for example, how many
working days per week,
and how many working
hours of each working
day, that an employee is
to work

Work Schedule Models

Simple Model
Simple Model defines the working pattern that always starts on the same day of the week, for example: a schedule starting on each Monday and
consisting of 5 working days of 8 hours, plus 2 non-working days.

Period Model
Through Period Model we will be able to define the work schedules for fixed-shift workers, such as the early shift or late shift, from week to week and
the schedule is repeated. In the period model, we enter a start date and a list of day models, along with the number of days.

Schedule Model
Through Schedule Model we are able to create working pattern out of the same period model with different start dates for varied groups of
employees. For example: Employee A starts with early shift and employee B starts the same day, but on the late shift.

Time Sheet Journey

2019 Deloitte
Time Type Group
Time Type Groups provide the input and enable the creation of time valuation runs. Through time categories, we could either
assign sets of time types as the source of time data, or derive time data from the employee’s work schedule or holiday calendar.
Time Type Groups are containers for intermediate and fi nal time pay types which form the basis of time valuation results for
employee.

Scenario 1

Time Category: Scheduled Working Time

Scheduled working time is derived from the
employee's work schedule.

Scenario 2

Time Category: Recorded Overtime

This is overtime explicitly recorded as such in the
Time Sheet, as derived from the time types listed
below. The sum of explicitly recorded and
calculated overtime will be aggregated and split
into overtime paid at 1.5 and 2.0 x the hourly rate,
respectively

This is the overtime below the given weekly

Time Valuation
Time valuations process input time data, calculate an employee's time, and generate time valuation results. Time valuation results provide the
basis upon which employees are paid for the time they record.

We define time valuations by assigning time type groups as the input of time data and output of calculated times (hours), and by processing
instructions on how to calculate these times from the time data coming from the input time type groups.

In SF Time Sheet there are 6 different Valuation Types available to execute different tasks which have been enclosed as appendix

Picture in the right side illustrates an example of

Valuation Type: Aggregate Input Group and Split

Three input time type groups and a threshold group

as the input of the valuation. The output of the
valuation is split with reference to the value from
the threshold group, into:

• A time type group up to that value

• A time type group above that value

Terminology
Time Category
○ Working Time, Recorded Overtime:
Time data is derived from times entered on the Payroll Time Sheet UI, taking into account only those time entries that correspond to the set of Attendance time types
assigned to the time type group.

○ Paid Absences, Unpaid Absences, Unpaid Overtime Relevant Absences:

Time data is derived from absences entered in Time Off, taking into account only those absences that correspond to the set of Absence time types assigned to the time
type group.

○Paid Holidays:
Time data is derived from the employee’s holiday calendar.

○Scheduled Working Time:

Time data is derived from the employee’s work schedule.

○On-Call Time:
Time data is derived from times entered on the Payroll Time Sheet UI, taking into account only those time entries that correspond to the set of On-Call time types
assigned to the time type group.

○Unpaid Break:
Time data is derived from break times entered on the Payroll Time Sheet UI, taking into account only those time entries that correspond to the set of Unpaid Break
time types assigned to the time type group.

○Scheduled Unpaid Break:

Time data is derived from the clock times of scheduled unpaid breaks within an employee's scheduled working time, taken from the work schedule.

○Calculated Time:
Time data is derived from the output of a time valuation. You would select this type of Time Category, for example, when you want to create 'time type groups above'
and 'time type groups below', as part of a time valuation.

○Counted Events:
As with calculated time, time data is derived from the output of a time valuation. You would select this type of Time Category, for example, when you want to create
'time type groups above' and 'time type groups below', as part of a time valuation.
