 Study what interests you : University education is the first step in taking control of your own
learning

 Student responsibility : At university, you are responsible for identifying the best way to study
and complete your assignments.

 Contact time/ Workload: At University You’ll spend more time studying than in class.
Instructors have office hour .

 Culture : As there’s no particular dress code, a high standard of behavior is expected

and no form of discrimination will be tolerated
12

 Campus life : No uniform, no assembly and you’re allowed to set your own
schedule, coming and going in between classes as you like. You’ll be
switching buildings, not only classrooms.

 Going solo : Many students choose to study away from home, which brings
with it a huge change in environment.

 Adjustment : You will have to adjust to a new learning and teaching style.
You may encounter different forms of assessment. You will be surrounded
by a wide range of different people.

Difference between Science and Engineering ?
 Science aims to know; engineering aims to do.
 Generally, Science is the study of the physical world, while Engineering applies scientific
knowledge to design processes, structures or equipment.
 Since engineers use science as their primary tool, they often contribute to scientific knowledge in
the process.
 Science and engineering are both necessary for driving technological advancements in our society.
