 Conclusion
Pakistan plastic problem
As the 6TH most populated country in the world.
Pakistan produces a great deal of waste.
In Pakistan roughly 20 Million Tons of solid
waste is generated annually with an annual
growth rate of about 2.4 percent
Unfortunately, plastics account for 65% of the
total waste in Pakistan
With an estimated 3.3 Million Tons of plastic
entering ocean and landfills every year .
Experts say that by 2050, there will be more
plastic than fish in the ocean .
Solution
 Everything is biodegradable, it just require
different amounts of time to do so. Plastic bags
take 500-1000 years to biodegrade and they photo-
degrade into toxic residue which is harmful to our
environment. Compostable bags biodegrade in a
short period of time into earth-friendly non-toxic
organic material.
Biodegradable Product
A B
sustainable
 Biodegradable disposable cutlery is a sustainable
option because it is made from renewable
resourses. For example , cornstarch is a renewable
resource that can be grown and harvested every
year. This means that biodegradable cutlery does
not contribute to deforestation or other
environmental issues.
Cost-Effective
 Biodegradable disposable cutlery is cost-effective
because it is often made from inexpensive
materials . For example , bamboo is a fast growing
plant that is easy to cultivate, making it an
affordable material for cutlery production.
Additionally, biodegradable cutlery can be
produced in large quantities, making it more
affordable then traditional plastic cutlery.
Opportunity and Target market
 Growing Environmental Awareness:
 With increasing awareness of environmental issues,
there's a growing market for eco-friendly products.
 Event Planning and Catering Services:
 The event planning and catering industry represent
a significant market for biodegradable utensils. As
events increasingly focus on sustainability, there's a
growing demand for eco-friendly disposable
products.
Continue….
 Food Service Establishments:
 Restaurants, cafes, and food service businesses have
an opportunity to attract environmentally conscious
customers by using biodegradable paper utensils
 Retail Sector:
 Retailers can tap into the market by offering
biodegradable utensils as part of their eco-friendly
product range. This includes supermarkets, specialty
stores etc
Competition
 Traditional Plastic Utensils:
 Biodegradable paper utensils face competition from traditional
plastic utensils, which are widely used due to their cost-
effectiveness. However, increasing environmental concerns and
regulations are gradually shifting consumer preferences toward
more sustainable options.
 Other Biodegradable Materials:
 Biodegradable utensils made from materials like cornstarch,
bamboo, and other plant-based or compostable materials are
competitors in the market. The choice of material often depends
on factors such as cost, durability, and disposal methods.
Biodegradable market value
 According to the report by Renub
Research ,Global Biodegradable Market is
expected to reach us$ 7.1 Billion by 2027 in
2021 it was 4.3 Billion.
Conclusion
 The use of biodegradable disposable cutlery is a
small but significant step towards protection on
the environment . By switching to biodegradable
cutlery, we can reduce the accumulation of plastic
waste in landfills and ocean, which is a major
environmental problem .
