 Eco-Friendly Solution:
Using solar energy significantly reduces the carbon footprint, as solar power is a clean and renewable
energy source. This minimizes reliance on fossil fuels, contributing to a greener environment and
reducing air pollution associated with traditional gas-powered equipment used in lawn care.

 Cost-Effective Maintenance:
Automation through solar power decreases long-term operational costs. The elimination of fuel expenses
and reduced reliance on manual labor results in significant savings over time, making this method highly
cost-effective compared to conventional grass cutting practices.

 Future Prospects:
The potential for advancements is vast, including integrating AI for smarter grass cutting or exploring
additional renewable energy sources. These advancements promise greater efficiency and diversified
applications, ensuring the technology's continuous evolution and relevance.

available in market which are run by means of electric and
internal combustion engine having some limit to cut grass at some
height and they require skilled labour.

4) By Adam Gilchrist 2020 He Analysed the durability and efficiency of the manual grass
cutter and found that it requires more human work and it is less
efficient

To design solar operated automated grasscutter.

Integration of Robotics and Automation
Methodology Components :

A. Solar Panel :
 Rated power = 5W(+/- 3%)
 Open circuit voltage = 12 V
 Short circuit current = 1.3A
 Dimension = 21cm x 28cm
 Voltage at maximum power = 17.7V

B. Lithium Ion Battery :


 Voltage = 12V
 Milli Ampere hour = 2200 mAh

C. Wheels :
 Diameter = 8cm
Methodology Components :
D. PCB :
 A printed circuit board (PCB),), is a medium used to
connect or "wire" components to one another in a circuit.

E. Jumper Wires :
 A jumper wire is an electrical wire, or group of
them in a cable, with a connector or pin at each end
which is normally used to interconnect the
components of a breadboard or other prototype or
test circuit, internally or with other equipment or
components, without soldering.

F. Buck Converter :
 A buck converter or step-down converter is a
DC-to-DC converter which steps down voltage
(while stepping up current) from its input
(supply) to its output (load).
