Rules in Shear Force and Bending Moment Diagram:

1. Shear force diagram is discontinuous at points subjected to concentrated loads (P). If P is
upward, V jumps upward and vice versa.
2. Bending moment diagram is discontinuous at points subjected to external concentrated
moments (Q). If Q is clockwise, M jumps upward and vice versa.
