ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I am grateful to my physics teacher DR.GS
Patel sir for the invaluable guidance and
feedback provided throughout this
project. Sir vast knowledge and
encouragement have been instrumental. I
would also like to thank our H.O.D,MR.
Yogesh Chouhan sir for enabling access
toresources that made this project
possible.I am deeply thankful to my
parents for their constant support and
motivation.This project would not have
been achievable without them.

QUICK SUMMARY
ABOUT PROJECT
This is about eddy currents and magnetic braking
of a pendulum caused by electromagnetic
induction. In this, a speaker demonstrates the effect
of eddy currents on a pendulum swinging through a
magnetic field. The speaker explains that eddy
currents are electric currents induced in a
conductor by a changing magnetic field. These
currents can create a magnetic field that opposes
the changing magnetic field, which can slow down
the movement of the conductor. The speaker then
demonstrates three pendulums.The pendulum with
no slots slows down significantly as it swings
through the magnetic field. The pendulum with
slots that go all the way to the bottom slows down
less than the pendulum with no slots. The
pendulum with slots that do not go all the way to
the bottom swings freely through the magnetic
field. The speaker explains that the slots in the
pendulum disrupt the flow of eddy currents, which
is why the pendulums with slots slow down less or
not at all.
