CASE PRESENTATION

ACNE VULGARIS
ID NO : LMBHA018
INTRODUCTION
• Acne vulgaris is self limited disorder
Primary of teenagers and young adult.
• The permissive factor for the expression of
the disease in adolescence is the increase in
sebum producing by sebaceous gland .
• Acne vulgaris can occur in any age group
with many cases persisting into adulthood.
• Mist acne occure on the face ,chest,back
and shoulder
• Symptoms can be mild, moderate or severe
• Acne vulgaris is caused by a combination of
hormones,oil and bacteria.
• Type of acne
1.whitehead- which are closed plugged
pores
2.blackhead- which are open plugged
pores
3.pupules- tender red bumps
4. Pustule – which contains pus
5. Nodules – painful lump beneath the skin
In this case report the patient was diagnosed
acne vulgaris because of the main complaint black
head,pustule and nodules
• Therefore it was successfully treated by
giving a medicine SEPIA after complete case
taking and repertorisation
• Homoeopathic treatment For acne once
the results start coming there is no looking
back.
CASE REPORT:
PRESENTING COMPLAINTS
• A 22 year old female residing in Ramnadu
presence with the complainant of
blackhead, pustules and nodules on the face
aliment from Oily face
• It worse to touch,washing the face
• The complaint started from before 10 days
• The patient came to the out patient
department on 3/8/22
PAST HISTORY:
• Patient doesn’t had any relevant past
history
FAMILY HISTORY
• Not relevant
PHYSICAL GENERAL:
• Sweat – increased.other all are good
• On examination: PR- 80/min,RR-22/min
Temp-98.6°F,BP- 120/80mmHg
No cyanosis,not icteric,no pallor,no oedema
and no clubbing
MENTAL GENERAL :
• irritable
• Wheeping when telling symptom
• Fear to be alone
• Very sad
SYSTEMIC EXAMINATION:
• RS- normal
• CVS- normal
• Skin(face): blackhead, pustules,oily face and
nodules.tendernes to touch
MENSTRUAL HISTORY:
LMP- 26/7/22
DURATION- 4 DAYS
DIAGNOSIS:
patient was diagnosed as acne vulgaris
clinically based on the symptoms
TOTALITY OF SYMPTOMS:
• Irritable
• Sadness
• Weeping when telling symptoms
• Fear to be alone
• Appetite increased
• Pustules on the cheek
• Blackish acne on the face
• Oily face
PRISCRIPTION:
• Based on symptom similarity the patient
was prescribed sepia 200(TDS)after
complete case taking
FOLLOW UP:
• On 9/8/22 blackhead is slightly reduced
• Mental symptom is better then before
• Tenderness is better
• Pustules is better
• On 14/8/22 blackhead is completely
removed
• Pustules is cure
• Oily face is better
• Mental symptoms is better
