1 . PRESIDENT
2. LOK SABHA
3. RAJYA SABHA
Lok Sabha
LOK SABHA is also known as “THE
LOWEST HOUSE ”or “THE
HOUSE OF PEOPLE” . It is a
temporary body, which dissolves in
every 5 years. The maximum number
of seats in Lok Sabha is 550. At
present, there are 543 seats . It has
the responsibility to make rules or
Acts for the welfare of the country .
They are elected by direct election .
It has the Supremacy to pass the
ordinary and Money Bills . At Lok Sabha
present NDA has won the majority
by 292 seats , ruling Lok Sabha.
Rajya Sabha
Rajya Sabha is also known as “THE
UPPER HOUSE” or“THE COUNCIL
OF STATES”. The Rajya Sabha is a
permanent body, because one-third
of its members retire every two
years . It consists of a maximum of
250 members, out of which 238
members represent the states and
union territories, and 12 members
are nominated by the President of
India for their expertise in various
fields .They are elected by single RAJYA SABHA
transferable vote system .
